NEW ETHICS COURSE OFFERED

Ethics and Medical Law

This 5-hour interactive workshop on medical ethics and law challenges participants to think pre-emptively about some of the dilemmas that face practitioners of emergency medicine on a daily basis. During the workshop, issues such as decision-making in ethics, patient consent, negligence, liability, living wills, do not resuscitate orders, and duty to act will surface amongst other relevant topics.

Participants will be encouraged to participate in active discussions that aim to argue ethical dilemmas from various angles thereby ensuring that informed decisions can be made in the future.

Upon completion of the workshop and submission of a completed ethics worksheet, participants will be issued with 10 CEUs for medical ethics.
